These little projects fill my heart with Joy and allow me to see my artworks in new ways.

I get butterflies in my tummy each time I begin a new piece. When I take them to the next level, it's like the butterfly is escaping and flying on it's own.

It's just a Joy!

Happy Mother’s Day to our Dear Mothers.

I have been thinking about which special artwork I wanted to use for my Mother’s Day tea towels. I have this piece hanging in our boot room and walk past it every day. It’s one that I created for a Solo exhibition in Goondiwindi years ago, and it somehow was damaged in my studio before the exhibition, so I couldn’t use it. I patched it up and added it to creating new flowers, colours, and energy.

This was the perfect piece as it demonstrates the journey of Motherhood.

Sometimes, we have it all down pat and then other times, it seems to be a bit all over the place, and bits need mending!

This special quote was one I have hanging in my studio above a photo of our dear Mother. It speaks volumes. Quoted from a forward-thinking Cardinal of the time.

No one can take the place of our Mothers. We were physically part of their bodies and the bond is forever there with a heart string attachment.

Thank you to our Mothers for being there for us.

For your guidance, support, wisdom and love.

For being the one person whose place no one else can take.

We love you.
