Creating and leaving space for the magic to happen

Oh what a gift this site is!!! The beginning of a new day, new adventures, new thoughts, ideas and experiences and maybe some 'well known' ones too! Sunday traditionally was set aside as a 'day of rest'. Sometimes Sundays become like most other days, working, cramming as much as possible in to prepare for the week ahead. In my family it was and still is a tradition to have a Sunday Roast lunch and it has been like that since i can remember. As well as homemade scones for morning tea. As i was walking just now i thought i really need to bring some of this back into my life now. This was where the magic happened, so many wonderful conversations, so much laughter and joking. So many stories shared over a meal made with so much love by my beautiful parents. They never new how many we would have, people always turned up knowing there was a baked lunch at The Corkhills! They set the scene and space for the magic to happen!

So instead of cramming something into every month, day, hour and minute. Leave that space free for 'the magic to happen' otherwise we continue on like any other day, focus on the end result and missing so much along the way!

Maybe today is the day to cook that yummy lunch or bake that cake for morning tea. Maybe it's time to get back to basics, to slow it down just for today and see what magic happens.
