For a Saturday evening - Praying for Rain

I decided yesterday that i needed to create a special piece to auction off to help with the Bushfire Crisis that we are enduring at the moment. I needed to help out in some way and i can't fight a fire but i can paint, so here it is. I started this piece this morning as i had in my mind my dear beautiful husband who was going off this evening to help fight fires near Talbingo. We all know how dangerous this can be and our very strong and courageous women and men, most volunteers are doing an amazing job. #thankyou

As i said good bye to Hylesy i said 'Keep Safe and I Love You". He said "It's good to be able to help!"
This is The Australian Way! We all band together and i am so proud to be an Australian. When we think we have lost so much we still have eachother❤🙏

At the moment there is so much fear, uncertainty, sadness, exhaustion and worry. My heart goes out to those that have lost their loved ones, homes, animals, land and sense of hope. My thoughts and prayers are with you and i hope that our precious land is soaked with rain sooner rather than later.
