Wellbeing in the Workplace

One of the key factors in maintaining a successful, healthy and productive workplace is making your employees feeling valued.

Why invest in the wellbeing of your employees?

  • With full-time employees spending over 40 hours a week at work, you have an excellent opportunity as an employer to influence healthy behaviours. The NSW Department of Health found that workplace wellbeing programs can reduce employee health risk factors by 56%.

  • Healthy employees who feel valued may find it easier to focus and find motivation, producing higher quality work.

  • According to ComCare, global research has found that when employee health and wellness is managed, the percentage of engaged employees increased from 7% to 55%.

  • The same research found that self-reported creativity and innovation increases from 20% to 72%. Creative, innovative employees can bring fresh ideas and solutions to their work.

  • The Workplace Health Association of Australia found that investing in your employee’s wellbeing can deliver a return on investment of $3 to $5 for every dollar spent. One meta-evaluation which looked at economic return of worksite health promotion programs found that on average, programs decrease sick leave absenteeism by over 25%, decrease workers compensation costs by over 40%, and decrease disability management costs by more than 24%.

Wellbeing workshop options

I offer two tailored workshops designed to improve workplace wellbeing, helping you to retain staff, create a positive culture and foster healthy, happy and more engaged employees.

  • When we work on ourselves and becoming the best version of ourselves, we learn to take ownership of our actions and become more productive in all that we do. This workshop offers a ‘circuit breaker’, creating awareness in the body and mind, which in turn brings positive change.

During the workshop, I’ll work with your team to:

Introduce the concept of self-compassion and the idea that you can’t pour from an empty jug

Develop awareness of health and wellbeing

Provide the knowledge, insights, and tools to succeed in your own wellbeing journey

Teach stress management, including coping with sources of stress and how stress can impact not only our bodies but the people around us

Develop positive thinking patterns that focus on our strengths and sources of pride

How to incorporate mindfulness in our everyday activities

At the end of the workshop, we’ll conclude with a relaxation exercise and time for reflection.

  • This workshop is built upon over 20 years’ experience in teaching both children and adults and has an emphasis on the personal journey of creating. In a judgement-free, low-pressure environment, I’ll guide your team through a creative art session.

During the workshop, I’ll work with your team to:

Introduce the concept of self-compassion, and the idea that you can’t pour from an empty jug

Create a piece of art that reflects a chosen theme relevant to your employees and workplace

Discuss and reflect upon the theme

Let go, have a laugh together and enjoy the process of creating, without being attached to the outcome

We’ll conclude with a relaxation exercise and time for reflection.
